Now, TCCPR has launched second amendment dated <strong>12th February 2025 <\/strong>in which an important update has been announced which will take effect from<strong> 10th March 2026.\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">What is TCCCPR regulation and why it was created?<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">TCCCPR means Telecom Commercial Communications Customer Preference Regulations and was introduced in 2018 to stop one problem which was becoming a serious problem in India i.e. spam calls and messages.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Previously, messages like:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;color: #008000\">Win lottery of Rs. 25 lakhs.<\/span><\/em><\/li>\n<li><em><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;color: #008000\">Get instant loan.<\/span><\/em><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">and many more&#8230;<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">used to be the habit of people in general so seeing that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.trai.gov.in\/\">TRAI<\/a> created a regulatory framework to how organizations can send commercial messages.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">TCCCPR created a structured framework that regulates how businesses send commercial messages to customers.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Before moving further let&#8217;s understand what is Service Explicit templates&#8230;.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">What Are Service Explicit Templates in DLT SMS?<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">It is a message type used for service related messages where user has any connection with the company.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Some few examples are as follows:<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\"><strong>Bank alerts<\/strong> &#8211; <span style=\"color: #993300\"><em>&#8220;Your account has been debited with \u20b92000.&#8221;<\/em><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\"><strong>Delivery updates<\/strong> &#8211; <span style=\"color: #993300\"><em>&#8220;Your package will be delivered today.&#8221;<\/em><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\"><strong>Subscription reminders<\/strong> &#8211; <span style=\"color: #993300\"><em>&#8220;Your membership expires on 15 April.&#8221;<\/em><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">New Update Announced by TRAI!<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Registration of new <strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000\">Service Explicit (SE) templates will be discontinued<\/span> and all <span style=\"color: #ff6600\">existing Service Explicit templates will be migrated to the Promotional category<\/span> from <span style=\"color: #339966\">10th March 2026<\/span> onwards <\/strong>followed by addressing a long pending demand of industries to boost their brand identity.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Earlier, businesses can send commercial messages to their customers with numerical headings only which in consequence gave the problem with authenticity of brand&#8217;s audacity.
