The Fast2SMS plugin has an event card called Abandoned cart recovery<\/strong> in its Automations tab. It sits in the recovery and retention group, next to Review request after completion, Back in stock and Welcome new customer.<\/p>\n

Here is the flow in plain words:<\/p>\n

  1. A shopper adds products to the cart and starts checkout with their mobile number.<\/li>\n
  2. They leave without placing the order.<\/li>\n
  3. The plugin waits for the time you set in Settings > Abandoned cart delay<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  4. If the number is on your do-not-send list, nothing is sent.<\/li>\n
  5. Otherwise the shopper gets your reminder on WhatsApp, SMS or both, using the template you picked.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    One simple rule sits under all of this: the plugin can only message a shopper whose mobile number it has. Keep the phone field on your checkout form, and make sure customers know you may message them about their cart. The plugin works with Indian 10-digit mobile numbers only.<\/p>\n

    How to set up abandoned cart recovery in WooCommerce<\/h2>\n

    1. Install the plugin.<\/strong> In WP Admin go to Plugins > Add New, search “Fast2SMS”, install and activate. WooCommerce features switch on by themselves.<\/li>\n
    2. Add your API key.<\/strong> Open WP Admin > Fast2SMS > Dashboard and paste your key. It is checked live and stored encrypted. Your wallet balance shows in the header.<\/li>\n
    3. Get a marketing template approved.<\/strong> For WhatsApp, a marketing template approved by Meta. For SMS, a Promotional DLT template. More on both below.<\/li>\n

    5. Turn on the consent checkbox.<\/strong> In the same Settings tab, switch on the checkout consent checkbox.<\/li>\n
