Previously, for using WhatsApp API account, business had to either delete their number from WhatsApp business account and then add that number to Meta cloud  API (WhatsApp API), or, use new number for Meta cloud API. In short, for using WhatsApp API and WhatsApp business/WhatsApp business app , they must have different number.

So, what has WhatsApp coexistence done? With this feature, one can apply for WhatsApp API with the same number associated with WhatsApp Business App. There is no need to delete number from WhatsApp business App to connect  to WhatsApp API as it was done earlier. This features allows business not only to to send bulk WhatsApp message but simultaneously can connect to their respective client’s personally. Therefore, allowing to use the benefits of both the platform simultaneously.

Conditions to use WhatsApp coexistence:

1. You must have an old Facebook ID, as Meta will not accept a new one.
2. You must have a WhatsApp Business App with that mobile number. And the Business App should be old and working for atleast one month.

1. Bulk WhatsApp message and WhatsApp business message can be sent simultaneously:
   It means, if you whenever you want to send Bulk WhatsApp message, you can send message from the WhatsApp cloud API. In that, you get your templates approved in the category of Utility, Authentication and Marketing, and from these templates message will be sent in Bulk via Fast2SMS WhatsApp API, which you can get free including no cost charge or setup charge.
   But, whenever you want to chat 1:1, that is, to reply to your customer for the particular query/issue, you can chat through your mobile app.
   Please note that, message sent from the mobile app will be free.
2. Pay only for the templates sent from Cloud API:
   It means, you only need to pay for the message that is being sent from the WhatsApp API. First, you need to add amount in Fast2SMS wallet according to your requirements starting from 100 INR, then cost deduction will be done only for the messages that gets delivered.
   And from the mobile application, you can still continue to send the message for free.
3. View and respond to users through mobile app:
   If on particular message, user reply, then you can view and respond to the messages. For that, either you can reply through your mobile app or you can directly reply through your Fast2SMS account.
4. WhatsApp API number remain unaffected after being disconnected from the current vendor:
   In future, if you wish to disconnect your WhatsApp API from Fast2SMS, then you just need to go to your mobile app and disconnect Fast2SMS from there. In this process, WhatsApp Business number will remain unaffected.

WhatsApp Pricing:

Here are the cost that will be deducted for each pre-approved message templates sent from WhatsApp Cloud API. There are three templates that you can create. Meta will auto-detect the message to which category it will fall. These templates are as follows:

1. UTILITY:
   It contains messages that are transactional in nature, which includes, order received, confirmation , alerts etc.
2. AUTHENTICATION:
   It contains mainly OTP (one time passcords). Its price is 0.25 INR.
3. MARKETING:
   It contains all type of promotional/sales/marketing messages meant only for the promotional purpose.
