What Is the Principal Entity & Telemarketer Binding Process?

The process of binding the Principal Entity (PE) with the telemarketer is essential for making SMS communications traceable.

According to the latest TRAI Directions, all Principal Entities are required to disclose the entire chain involved in SMS communication.

This disclosure must include details about telemarketer aggregation and delivery, as well as the connections between the Principal Entity and the Originating Access Provider.

It is crucial to ensure that all components of your registration chain are prepared in advance.

 If you are using bulk SMS services in India, make sure to complete the PE TM Chain process by December 10th, 2024.

Additionally, it’s important to note that the entire chain—from the Principal Entity to the Originating Access Provider—must be properly registered on the DLT platform.

This registration should include all telemarketers involved in the declared chain.

The message delivery chain can consist of either a single telemarketer responsible for the delivery function or a multi-party arrangement that combines both telemarketer aggregation and delivery functions.

How to do Principal Entity & Telemarketer Binding Process In DLT?

2. Find and click on the “PE-TM Chain” or “Telemarketer” tab

3. Click on a “New Chain”

5. Click on “Submit”. The status shown is “Pending“.

6. Take a screenshot of the pending status page. Submit this with a registered document of the company and an address proof of the authorized person.
